Stewart R. Spalding has been focusing his practice on Consumer Protection, creditor negotiation, foreclosure defense, and loss mitigation. He assists Kentuckians defend themselves when they have been sued, harassed, threatened, overwhelmed, or defrauded. On a daily basis he works to keep people in their house, get them out of financial quicksand, or get what they paid for. In this pursuit, he has represented people against some of the largest banks in the United States by defending foreclosure actions, but Stewart will also defend lawsuits arising from small contractual disputes such as home renovation/remodel controversies.
Stewart also represents people when it is apparent the best recourse is to file either a Chapter 7 or Chapter 13 Bankruptcy. He represents consumers in their desire to consolidate and eliminate secured and unsecured debt.
Stewart is currently a member of the American Bar Association, Louisville Bar Association and the Kentucky Bar Association. He is licensed to practice Law in the State of Kentucky, as well as the Federal Eastern District of Kentucky and the Federal Western District of Kentucky Bankruptcy Court.
In 2010, Stewart completed the prestigious Max Gardner Bankruptcy Litigation Boot-camp. He has been practicing law since 2008. He graduated Thomas Cooley Law school in 2008. He graduated from the University of Louisville in 2002. While there he was a member of the Beta Theta Pi Fraternity and a letter-winner as a Cardinal Football Student athlete and named to the Dean’s List.
