Troy is an avid Indiana University Basketball fan, enjoys attending the Toledo Walleye Hockey games, and is a very active member of Zenobia Shriners in Northwest Ohio.
Troy moved to the Toledo area in the fall of 2002 after graduating from Indiana University in Bloomington, continuing a career with Sears that he started five years earlier. While working full time Sears he started working towards completion of his law degree by taking classes at night at the University of Toledo – College of Law.
During his time in law school he completed an internship with the Cass County, Indiana prosecutor’s office and eventually served as a Judical Clerk to the Honorable Amy J. Berling in the Toledo Municipal Court before starting his private practice.
Troy is a member of the Executive Board of the Toledo Junior Bar as well as a member of the Michigan State Bar, Monroe County Bar Association. He also belongs to Northern Light Lodge #40 in Maumee, Ohio, Zenobia Shriners in Perrysburg, and serves as an adult advisor for the youth fraternity DeMolay in Genoa.
