When I left the corporate world, I decided to hang out my shingle and work with people who needed help planning for the future. Estate Planning, Wills, Trusts, Probate, Trust Administration and Conservatorships was a passion of mine. It may sound strange, but I wanted the chance to work towards a conclusion and “get things done”, something that can be rare in the corporate environment, at least in this humble attorney’s opinion.
Soon after opening my own practice, I was confronted with a family situation that required bankruptcy protection. I did not like the way my family members were treated, the attorney gave them 15 minutes of his time and left them with his paralegal. I decided there must be a better way. I understand that the decision to file bankruptcy is a life-changing event and did not believe that decision should be left to the paralegal. So, I took it upon myself to learn bankruptcy and to incorporate it into my practice. Needless to say, the bankruptcy was successful and now my family members are doing very well.
I am a member of the California Bar Association, Contra Costa Bar Association, the United States District Court, Ninth Circuit and the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys. My hobbies revolve primarily around my family and golf. I have a wonderful wife of 24 years and 3 awesome daughters. I am a member at Crow Canyon Country Club.
