Edward Gibson is a native of Mississippi. He graduated with a B.A. from Millsaps College in 1991. After teaching in Mississippi Public Schools, he enrolled in the Creative Writing Program at Texas State University in San Marcos, where he received a Masters in Fine Arts and wrote a novel, Rattlesnake. He began working for the firm in 2005 and joined as a partner in 2007.

Edward received his J.D. from the University of Mississippi in 2002. While in law school, he was a charter member of Public Law Clinic and worked for the Mississippi Office of Post-Conviction Relief and the Lafayette County Public Defender. He became a member of the Mississippi Bar in 2002 and the Louisiana Bar in 2004. He is a member the Louisiana Association of Justice and the American Association of Justice. He serves on the Executive Committee of the Mississippi Association of Justice as its Secretary. He is the Vice President of the Hancock County Bar Association and is a lifelong member of both the Methodist Church and the Democratic Party.

Edward spent the years following Hurricane Katrina recovering millions of dollars in rightfully owed insurance benefits for the home owners of Harrison and Hancock County. Most recently, his practice has focused on multi-district litigation, personal injury, workers compensation and maritime law.

He, his wife Susan Broom Gibson and their daughters Ellen Eliza and Catherine Ruth, live in Waveland, Mississippi. When he is not practicing law, he plays guitar with his law partners, works to restore his 19th century home, or fishes for speckled trout.
