Hal is a seasoned finance professional with over 25 years of experience both as a strategic CFO of growth businesses as well as a commercial and investment banker. Prior to joining Upright Law, Hal was the CFO of Mindcrest Inc., an alternative legal services provider based in Chicago. He also founded Lancaster Gate Advisors, a financial advisory firm focused on assisting lower and middle market businesses with capital raises, transaction due diligence, restructurings, valuation, strategic projects, and interim management. Hal began his career as a commercial banker with Chemical Bank followed by time as an investment banker with Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette.
Hal earned his MBA, in Finance and Accounting, from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and his BA, in Economics, from Indiana University.
