Yesterday, UpRight CEO Ed Scanlan spoke at The Future is Now: Legal Services 2.016.
The event was organized by the Illinois Supreme Court Commission on Professionalism and brought together industry leaders and regulators to tackle critical issues for the changing legal landscape, including:
- New approaches to improving access to legal representation for the underserved
- How to uphold professionalism in changing times
- Exploring a new model of attorney regulation
- Understanding the role of paraprofessionals with a limited legal license
- How technology is transforming the delivery of legal services
Illinois Supreme Court Chief Justice Rita Garman spoke, along with Center for Access to Justice and Technology Director Professor Ronald Staudt, ISBA President-elect Vincent F. Cornelius, Washington State Bar Association Executive Director Paula Littlewood and others.
